What to tell the world about who I am?
First of all I’m a Christian. I struggle with my Christian life the same as I guess most people do. I tend to be analytical when God is working on me but then I also take things as they are given to me sometimes.
The most influential thing in my life to this point has been my involvement in church and those special ministers who creatively and passionately taught me God’s word and practical advice for living. My desire to work with youth definitly comes from the influence I received as a teenager.
I find myself struggling a lot more with spiritual, moral, and just plain life now that I’m out of college and away from a lot of the teachers I had (small groups, tight friendships, mentors, etc.).
Most of the time I feel very inadequate to stand in front of people and talk (about anything). Very often, especially when I am studying God’s word, I find that I have much that I want to say and feel could encourage someone…and yet I stumble on words.
And so I’ve decided to try writing and see how God may choose to use this approach. I hope that I can manage to get to the computer when these moments of inspiration come and it’s my hope to only write that which God leads me to write.
